Harvard Business School Leadership Training

We created a Rapid Leadership Development Exercise for the FIELD program (Field Immersion Experiences for Leadership Development) for about 1,000 First Years. Our flagship sculpture-building workshop was embedded with a leadership exercise, and we introduced students to green business concepts.

“…our first-year MBA students learn(ed) about exercising leadership, effective teamwork, and the fundamentals of the design process… it was a pleasure working with the team to tailor the exercise to our learning objectives…open and responsive to our needs, while helping us understand the power and potential of the exercise and how to make it work best...”

– Prof. Joshua Margolis, Harvard Business School

Emerson College Sustainability Communications Seminar

We developed a studio seminar on sustainability communications for Emerson College to help students gain a deeper understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Using our studio design methodology, teams of students created outreach campaigns based on one SDG, including implementation plans.

Students reported that they gained a much deeper understanding of how to interpret and use Sustainable Development Goals and the studio empowered them to create actionable concepts and plans. Students became much more motivated to act on climate issues and were equipped with new modalities for creative problem-solving.

“…the studio seminar was incredibly helpful for them to really structure how to communicate and conceptualize their ideas. Several of them thought it was the most effective component of the class. “

Boston College Community Quilt

Community Connections through Design & Social Impact

We developed a program using Quarantine Quilts to engage and connect the BC community on critical issues such as climate and public health. We conducted immersive visual design workshops virtually, and designed a branded website and program to grow the quilt over time through these community-wide interactions.

Students, faculty and staff from across the BC community explored urgent topics that combined art, design, and science in small groups that produced a small digital quilts that contributed to a larger community quilt.

Participants experienced rapid collaboration, problem-solving, creative communications, and story-telling while strengthening bonds across all cohorts.
